{in the swing of things}

8:00 AM

We have been going full speed ahead with all of our lessons and programming- and having a blast!  Every week has been filled to the brim with character lessons, reading classes, fine motor activities, ballet, hip hop, English classes, youth group and the occasional birthday party!

In reading classes we've been learning through many different mediums.

 We teach character lessons at two orphanages, emphasizing how we can emulate the many positive characteristics of God.

 We had the opportunity to throw a birthday party and celebrate the kids!  They got cupcakes, a small gift, played games and watched a movie.  We hope they felt very special!

 We celebrated Halloween with some of the "kids" in the transition program.  They enjoyed dressing up and getting candy.  Well really, who doesn't?!

Steven has been teaching English to a few of the older kids.  They are loving it and enjoy speaking to us in our native tongue.

One of our most entertaining classes is a mixture of art integrated with gross and fine motor skills.  The little ones love the different activities and giggle the entire time!

We were very, VERY, blessed to be able to take a quick weekend trip to Milan, Italy to visit my BFF from high school, Alyson!  It was a blast and so refreshing to see her after over a year! Special thanks to Tony and Sharron E-C for making this trip possible!

*** If the pictures don't display the amount of sheer joy we feel in being here in Romania, I don't know what else could!  Words are truly not enough to describe how it feels to be invited into these kids' hearts and lives.  There are lots of happy times with them, and lots of sad ones too.  We pray more than anything else that each child would be placed in a loving home and that our jobs would no longer exist. We pray for adoption laws to change for the better. Join us in praying for healthy, loving families to foster and adopt these beautiful children!***
